CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES

Student Council
Students in grades 4 and 5 can participate in Student Council.  Student Council organizes and promotes school spirit activities.  Previous events included: Boo Bash, Valentines, school dress up days.  Officers and active student council members attend conferences in the spring and fall.  Student Council is supervised by Mrs. AnneMarie Kislewski (Guidance Counselor).  Meetings are held weekly on Wednesdays before and after school. For more information contact Mrs. Kislewski.

Safety Patrol
Students in grade 5 help students before and after school when crossing streets.  Patrol Officers are responsible for watching traffic and telling students when to cross streets.  Officers are not able to cross the streets with students.  Adult crossing guards are located on New York and Main and New York and Jackson to assist with crossing streets.  Mrs. Darcy Gluth (first grade) and Mr. Patrick Flanagan (fifth grade) supervise all Patrol Officers.   If you have questions please contact Mrs. Gluth or Mr. Flanagan.

Family Nights
Family Nights are held monthly and are sponsored by teachers and staff.  Activities generally focus on literacy, math, technology or physical fitness.  Previous events have included: Boo Bash, Family Bingo, Festival of Lights, and Technology Night.  All events are listed on the Merrill Calendar and notes are generally sent home one to two weeks ahead of events.  Since food is often included many events we appreciate pre-registration to plan accordingly.
