Principal's Message

Hello Mustang Families!

A big THANK YOU all who attended Boo-Bash last week! We had over 300 in attendance and raised over $1,000 for playground supplies! Thanks again to the staff, community members, and families who made the night so successful.

This is just a friendly reminder that Fall Parent-Teacher Conferences are coming up. Once again we will be using PTC Fast to sign up for individual student conference times. Registration deadline is Friday, November 9th.How to register: To pick a time slot, enter the link in your internet browser or click here: https://ptcfast.com/schools/Merrill_Elementary_1

Please select the teacher's name to schedule your conference. After you register, an email will be sent so you could sign up for the 15-minute conference. If you have multiple children, you will need to select a conference with each individual child’s teacher. If you do not have Internet access, please contact:Merrill Elementary School Office @ 920-424-0420. We will return your call as soon as possible.

It’s also BOOK FAIR!! Our Scholastic Book Fair will be set up on Nov. 12 during Parent-Teacher Conferences and continue until the 14th of November in the Merrill Media Center. (change from the past)  Below are the times and dates.

Nov. 12 : 3:00 - 6:30

Nov. 13: 12:30 - 2:00

Nov. 14: 2:30 - 3:30

Also, winter is just around the corner! We have already gotten some snow! Please remember that students without boots and snow pants will only be allowed to play on the blacktop! Dressing in layers helps all students during this time of year. Also, please label all of your child's outerwear.

Looking forward to our busy month of November! Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you,

Tanya Fenner, Principal

 OFFICE REMINDERS

  • Students Arriving Late to School:  We have an number of students arriving late for school.  Students are expected to be at school entering the building at 7:40 am when the first bell rings.  If your student arrives in the building after the second bell at 7:45 am, they must stop at the office to check in before going to class. If they arrive after 7:55 it is counted as unexcused.

  • Pick Up After School: For the safety of all students, please make sure that you are on time to pick up your child.  You should be at school when students dismiss at 2:45 pm.  If you are unable to be at school at 2:45 pm, you should make alternate arrangements for your child's pick up.  Please make sure that you keep a consistent routine and that your child knows where to meet you.

  • Change of Clothing:  Students in Grades KG-1 should have an extra set of season-appropriate clothing at school at all times in the event they soil their clothes due to recess activities, lunch spills, bathroom accidents or other health issues.
