Principal's Message

Happy Fall Mustang Families!

It has been a fantastic first month into the school year. Students and staff have been working hard this month learning academic and behavioral expectations. Each day, our classrooms are filled with important conversations and engaging lessons. On that note, we have a number of students who are being marked tardy. Please remember that students need to be ready to go into school at 7:40 when the bell rings so they can be in their classrooms at 7:45.

Here are some friendly reminders for this month:

  • We have Picture Day on Friday, October 4th and retakes are November 7th.

  • On Monday, October 7th we will have our annual fundraiser from 4 - 8pm at the  Pizza Ranch at 1051 S. Washburn St., Oshkosh. Our very own Merrill staff will be volunteering their time to help serve you all pizza. Proceeds will go toward helping purchasing playground equipment for our school! Please click the link for the official flyer: Pizza Ranch Night

  • We have our Family Boo Bash event on October 24th from 5:00 to 6:30pm. There is no admission cost for the event. However, families can purchase tickets to try out all our carnival games and win prizes!  Food will be available for purchase as well. This year, the Oshkosh Elks Lodge #292 will be volunteering their time to help us with this great event. Due to safety reasons, students cannot attend by themselves and must be accompanied by an adult.

  • On Thursday, October 31st we will be holding our Halloween Parade at 1:30.  Students will be walking outside around the block while wearing their costumes. After the parade, students will be participating in a Halloween party in their classrooms.  Halloween costume guidelines will also be sent home with students and each classroom will decide if they want to have costumes worn to school or if they will have students change before the parade.

We are looking forward to seeing all our families at one of these events!
